We’re thrilled to share the latest developments in the Include Me+ project as we transition into its next phase. This initiative continues to evolve, making strides toward fostering inclusion, participation, and peacebuilding through innovative methodologies and educational tools.

From Research to Action
In the First Phase, we conducted Participatory Action Research (PAR) to design a methodology that leverages mediation in digital media. This research focused on fostering inclusion, encouraging active participation, and supporting peacebuilding. The result is a comprehensive Study with recommendations and step-by-step guidance to integrate mediation into digital media practices, which is currently under development and will be available soon.
Building the Training Programme
We are now laying the groundwork to begin the second phase of the project. Building on the insights from Phase 1, this new phase will focus on developing a Training Programme to equip stakeholders with the tools and knowledge needed to use mediation in digital media as a civic and inclusive reporting method.
Open Educational Resources for Inclusive Digital Media
This programme will be delivered as Open Educational Resources (OERs), which will be free and accessible to all. The training will include interactive mixed-media resources such as videos, exercises, case studies, and practical examples. These materials will focus on building resilience and combating negative behaviours in digital spaces. The modules, ranging from introductions to mediation in digital media to advanced topics like ensuring inclusion and understanding the roles of citizens, CSOs, media, and HEIs, will be highly adaptable and transferable across languages, regions, and educational contexts.
A Train-the-Trainer Approach
The programme is designed as a “train-the-trainer” resource, enabling HEIs to educate their networks effectively. The primary beneficiaries will include media professionals, higher education students, and CSOs. While the resources are tailored for classroom settings, they will also be freely available for online access, ensuring broad reach and impact.
Expected Impact
This Training Programme is expected to significantly enhance the knowledge of digital media creators, CSOs, and students, empowering them to actively participate in digital content creation and adopt practices that are participatory, socially responsible, and conducive to peacebuilding.
Strengthening Digital Media Skills Across Europe
By empowering stakeholders with these tools, the Include Me+ project aims to strengthen the capacities of Higher Education Institutions, enhance key competencies in digital media, and address pressing challenges in Europe through education and collaboration.
