What we did

As an active partner in the PatENT project, we’ve been deeply involved from the very beginning. Our role spans project ideation, partnership collaboration, and leading the promotion, visibility, and dissemination efforts. We’ve been at the forefront of ensuring that PatENT’s powerful message of inclusivity and empowerment reaches as wide an audience as possible.

We’re responsible for:

  • Developing strategies to amplify the project’s impact and share its story across digital and physical platforms.
  • Running dissemination campaigns that promote the project’s unique goals and outcomes.
  • Educating young innovators through resource development and workshop facilitation, creating accessible pathways for migrants interested in patenting their ideas.
  • Organizing training opportunities, such as sending learners to Vilnius for hands-on skill-building and networking.

The Goal

PatENT aims to shift the narrative surrounding migration and innovation. By creating pathways for migrants to engage with patenting and entrepreneurship, the project seeks to empower young migrants with the skills and knowledge to protect their ideas and turn them into successful ventures. This involves building a supportive environment, equipping youth educators with relevant resources, and fostering a new generation of migrant innovators.

Our specific goals within PatENT include:

  • Establishing Innovation Hubs that offer a collaborative space for young migrant innovators.
  • Educating and supporting both youth and youth educators in understanding intellectual property rights, patent processes, and entrepreneurship.
  • Transforming societal perceptions by highlighting the potential of migrant communities to drive economic and social innovation.

Project

Result

While the project is still ongoing, PatENT has already achieved significant milestones:

  • Innovation Hubs have been set up, providing young migrants with access to mentorship, resources, and a community focused on innovation and entrepreneurship.
  • Educational resources for youth educators have been developed, empowering them to guide migrant youth in exploring intellectual property and entrepreneurial opportunities.
  • Training events have been organized, including a training event in Vilnius that will bring together learners from different regions to enhance their skills and network with peers. We were proud to send participants from Germany.

Through these initiatives, PatENT is fostering a new perspective on migration by showcasing migrants as valuable contributors to innovation and economic growth. As we continue our work, we look forward to sharing more success stories and impactful outcomes that demonstrate the strength of diverse voices in shaping our shared future.
